Meet the Dreamers: Chris Hintz

Flint Hill senior Chris Hintz lives by Gandhi’s words: “Be the change you want to see in the world”.  Dedicated to make his mark as a leader, Chris believes that true leadership cannot exclude empathy and service. In his talk, he shares his views on how these two concepts are the way of the future and how passion and putting the needs of others before one’s own are the key to success.

Meet the Dreamers: Doug Stevens

 

A talented musician and martial arts practitioner, Flint Hill senior Doug Stevens is also an altruist. Dedicated to making a difference in the world, Doug has decided to make helping others his mission in life. In his talk, he shares about the importance of having a dream and about the need to have a plan. He explores the impact of decision-making, shares his philosophy on overcoming obstacles, and his views on how to persevere in a world that tests you each and every day.

Meet the Dreamers: Sarah Al-Qatou

 

Sarah Al-Qatou is a current Flint Hill sophomore who loves to dance, act, and sing. She is very close to her family and cherishes her Bolivian and Kuwaiti backgrounds. In her talk, Sarah explores the power of reflection, of empathy, and of growth, which come from overcoming a struggle. She divulges how she managed to power through a challenging time in her own life and offers her thoughts on resilience and on the importance of confidence and self-worth.

Meet the Dreamers: Danielle Wallace

 

Flint Hill School 10th grader Danielle Wallace is an artist, graphic novelist, and humanist. In her talk, she explores the power of love: not romantic love, but rather the type of selfless, unconditional love one person can have for a fellow human being.  By nature, humans wish to feel accepted, to belong. Danielle explains how we all can work together at breaking down the social barriers in order to make our world, and more readily our schools, a better place for all.

Meet the Dreamers: Zane Homsi

 

 

A technology savvy Flint Hill sophomore, Zane Homsi has always been in tune with his peers and genuinely interested in others. In his talk, Zane explains, with the recent technological surge our world has been experiencing—exploring social networking in particular, how the quality of our communication has changed in ways that are now affecting how we relate to one another. He offers suggestions we can all take towards enriching our relationships and that will make, he feels, our environment a more positive and fulfilling one.

Meet the Dreamers: Kayla Hewitt

 

Kayla Hewitt is an avid reader and writer, who currently attends eighth grade at Flint Hill School. An accomplished musician –she plays the guitar and the trumpet, Kayla also shines as an athlete. In her talk, Kayla shares her incredible spirit, her dare to fail philosophy, and why this positive outlook on life can lead you to reach the depths of your own creativity and find great success.

Meet the Dreamers: Meghan Sivakumar

A musician and collector, Meghan Sivakumar is a current Flint Hill School seventh grader who is passionate about our planet and its well-being. Conscious of the need for global change, Meghan also sees the importance that each individual can have in the process of saving our Blue Planet. From what we can do at home to how school programs can be adapted, Meghan’s talk will guide us through some of the simple, yet important changes we can all adopt that will make a difference in both the short and the long terms.
